Boston Red Soxthird baseman Alex Bregman was removed from Friday afternoon's game at Fenway Park, appearing to take an awkward turn around first base on a hit in the third inning against theBaltimore Orioles. Bregman immediately knew he needed to come out of the game, but was able to walk off the field and into the dugout tunnel on his own. Bregman signed a three-year,$120 million dealwith the Red Sox in February after spending nine seasons with theHouston Astros. The 31-year-old has been a huge addition with 11 home runs and 35 RBIs for Boston, and his .935 OPS is the second-best mark of his career. A two-time World Series champion and Gold Glove winner, Bregman's arrival resulted in Red Sox star Rafael Devers being moved from third base to designated hitter – anongoing storylinein Boston through the first two months of the season.
